Overview
The SG5712 is a StorageGRID Storage Node in appliance form. It is built on an E-Series DE212C enclosure in 2U of rack space and holds 12 drives of the 3.5in NL-SAS type.
Two controllers do the work. The E5700SG compute controller runs the StorageGRID node software, while the E2800A storage controller manages the drives. Networking for the Grid and Client Networks is up to 4 x 10GbE or 25GbE. Power comes from two power-fan canisters, and FDE or FIPS drives are supported for encryption at rest.
