Hardware Buyback

Our buyback service lets you sell surplus or retired enterprise hardware: send us a list of your servers, drives, memory or networking gear, and we make an offer for the items with resale value. It suits IT teams after a refresh, data centers clearing space and resellers with excess stock.

How it works

  1. Send your list. Include brand, model or part number, quantity and condition. Photos of labels help us identify exact part numbers.
  2. We review it. We check current demand for each part number and condition.
  3. You get an offer. The offer lists a value per line or for the whole lot. Offers are valid for 14 days.
  4. Ship or collect. You ship the items to us, or we arrange collection. You pay inbound shipping, unless the lot value justifies free collection. We arrange collection for larger lots in Canada and the US.
  5. Inspection. We check each item against the offer: part number, quantity, condition and function. If something differs, we tell you before anything changes. Items that fail inspection are returned at your cost, or recycled with your consent.
  6. Payment. We pay by wire transfer, or as credit against a purchase, within 10 business days after inspection. The offer states the currency.

What we buy

  • Servers: recent rack and tower server generations from HPE, Dell, Lenovo, Cisco, Supermicro and others, complete or as parts.
  • Storage drives: enterprise SAS, SATA and NVMe drives, HDD and SSD, with or without carriers.
  • Server memory: DDR4 and DDR5 RDIMMs and LRDIMMs, OEM-branded or generic.
  • Networking: data center and campus switches, transceivers and network adapters.
  • Components: processors, power supplies, RAID controllers, GPUs and storage system parts.
  • New surplus: sealed or unused stock in original packaging.

We review every list. If we cannot make an offer for some items, we tell you which ones.

What affects the offer

  • Exact part number. Value depends on the specific option or spare number, not just the model name.
  • Generation and age. Current and one-generation-old platforms usually hold more value than older ones.
  • Condition. New sealed, working pulls and untested items are valued differently.
  • Quantity. Matched sets, such as identical memory modules or drives, are easier to resell.
  • Completeness. Carriers, rails, power supplies and bezels add value to servers and drives.
  • Data on drives. Tell us whether drives are already wiped. If not, sanitization is part of the process. We erase data to NIST SP 800-88 and can issue a certificate of sanitization per serial.

What you get

  • A written offer based on your list.
  • A clear inspection result if anything differs from the list.
  • A receiving report of what arrived, and data sanitization records for drives on request.

If you are retiring a large estate, our ITAD service adds collection, chain of custody and recycling for items with no resale value.

FAQ

Do you buy single items?

Yes, if the item has resale value. Lots are easier to value, so send everything you have in one list.

Do I need to remove the data first?

You do not have to, but you should tell us if drives still hold data. We erase them to NIST SP 800-88, or physically destroy them on request.

Can I trade hardware against a purchase?

Yes. Buyback value can be paid as credit against a purchase. We apply the credit to your next invoice after inspection.

Do you buy from outside Canada and the US?

Yes. You ship the items to us in Canada. As the exporter, you handle export paperwork in your country. We send you the import details we need.
