Leasing and Financing
Leasing and financing let you spread the cost of servers, storage and networking hardware over fixed payments instead of paying the full amount up front. It is for businesses that want to keep cash for other projects or match hardware costs to the period they use it.
We offer leasing and financing through third-party finance partners. The partner provides the lease or finance agreement; we supply the hardware.
How it works
- Build your RFQ. Add the hardware you need to an RFQ and note that you want leasing or financing.
- Get your quote. We reply with pricing for the hardware, plus the financing options available for that amount. The finance partner then confirms the exact terms.
- Credit application. You complete a short business credit application. The finance partner runs the credit check. It usually asks for company registration details and, for larger amounts, recent financial statements.
- Approval and agreement. Once approved, you sign the lease or finance agreement. Approval usually takes a few business days.
- Delivery. We ship the hardware as with any order. Payments start as set out in your agreement.
- End of term. Depending on the agreement, you buy the hardware, return it, or upgrade to newer equipment. The options are set out in your agreement.
What can be financed
- New, refurbished and used servers, storage and networking hardware
- Server components and upgrades, such as memory, drives and processors
- Complete configurations, including transceivers, cables and spares
Financing is subject to credit approval. Limits, and whether refurbished and used hardware is eligible, depend on the finance partner. We confirm them with your quote.
Typical options
Terms run from 12 to 60 months. The options available depend on the finance partner and your country.
| Option | How it usually works |
|---|---|
| Finance lease | Fixed payments over the term; you can usually own the equipment at the end for a small final payment. |
| Operating lease | Lower payments; at the end of the term you return, extend or upgrade. |
| Installment plan | The purchase price is split into fixed payments; ownership transfers to you. |
Accounting and tax treatment differs by country and lease type. Ask your accountant how a lease is recorded in your books.
What you get
- One quote for the hardware and the financing options for it.
- Fixed payments that are easy to budget, paid monthly.
- The same conditions, warranty and shipping as a standard purchase. See warranty and shipping.
