Overview
The AFF A300 is a mid-range NetApp all-flash controller for SAN and NAS. Its 3U chassis holds both controllers of the HA pair. It does not hold drives itself: storage comes from attached shelves, up to 384 drives and 11750TB of raw capacity.
Per HA pair, the A300 has 256GB of memory, 16GB of NVRAM and two 64-bit 16-core processors at 1.7GHz. There are 4 PCIe slots for extra host or cluster cards. The onboard port set is broad: 4 x 10GbE RJ45, 4 x 10GbE SFP+, 8 x UTA2 and 8 x 12Gb mini-SAS HD for shelf connections.
