For 400G spine and fabric roles, the QFX5230-64CD offers 64 QSFP56-DD ports that can be channelized into lower-speed links, plus 2 SFP+ ports, for 66 ports in all.

Switching capacity is 51200 Gbps and the forwarding rate is 10.53 Bpps. The control plane uses an Intel 6-core Hewitt Lake D-1637 processor with 32 GB of memory and 200 GB (2 x 100 GB) of SSD storage.

This AFO build moves air front-to-back. Power comes from 2 x JNP-3000W-AC-AFO supplies, 1+1 redundant and hot-swappable, and 4 x QFX5230-64CD-FANAO fans that are also hot-swappable. Typical draw is 498 W, with a maximum of 1396 W.
