Overview

The Juniper QFX5100 48-Port 10G SFP+ and 6-Port 40G QSFP+ Switch, part number QFX5100-48S-AFO, is a data center top-of-rack switch for 10G servers with 40G links to the spine.

The 48 downlink ports accept SFP or SFP+ modules and run at 1G or 10G. Six QSFP+ uplinks run at 40G, giving 54 ports in total, with 40GbE as the maximum port speed. Switching capacity is 1440 Gbps. Redundant AC power supplies are fitted, and airflow is front-to-back. Virtual Chassis is available for stacking.

The switch takes 1 RU. Airflow should match your rack's cooling direction. SFP, SFP+ and QSFP+ modules are separate parts.
