Overview
The Juniper QFX10002-36Q is a 2U Layer 3 data center switch built around 36 QSFP+ ports. Each port runs 40GbE or 4 x 10GbE with breakout, for up to 144 x 10GbE. Twelve of the 36 ports also take QSFP28 optics for 100GbE.
Switching capacity is 2880 Gbps with forwarding at 1 Bpps and a 12 GB packet buffer. The deep buffer helps on links where traffic bursts are common. A 2.5 GHz quad-core Intel processor, 16 GB of memory and 2 x 25 GB SSDs run the control plane.
Two 1600 W AC power supplies (JPSU-1600W-AC-AFO) and 3 x QFX10002-FAN modules are hot-swappable, with front-to-back airflow in the port-to-FRU direction. The switch weighs 24.49 kg, and the chassis model is QFX10002-36Q-CHAS.
