The MTA72ASS8G72LZ-2G3 is a Micron load-reduced DIMM for DDR4 servers that run memory at 2400 MT/s. Each module holds 64GB, uses dual-die DRAM packages and runs on 1.2V.
A buffer on the module reduces the electrical load the memory controller sees. That is why LRDIMMs suit hosts filled to high capacity, such as virtualization servers and analytics nodes. The module has 288 pins and ECC error correction.
Keep all memory in the server the same type. If the other slots already carry DDR4 LRDIMMs, this one belongs with them; do not combine it with registered or unbuffered sticks.
