Overview
The SCBE-MX-S combines switch fabric and control functions for the Juniper MX240, MX480 and MX960. It is the Enhanced SCB version of the board.
Fabric capacity is up to 240 Gbps per slot without redundancy, or 160 Gbps per slot with redundant boards, and the board's total switch fabric capacity is 5.12 Tbps. It works with RE-S-1800 series routing engines.
For networks that need precise timing, the board has BITS, GPS and UTI timing ports and a Stratum 3 clock. It draws 160 W and needs Junos OS 11.4R1 or later.
The board is also sold as SCBE-MX-BB, so check spares lists for both numbers. Order it to replace a failed SCB, upgrade older boards or hold a spare. New and Refurbished units are available, with your choice of 1 year or 3 years of warranty.
