Overview
Forty SFP+ ports at 1GbE or 10GbE make the Juniper MPC7E-10G a card for dense 10G edge and aggregation on MX routers. It is built on the Junos Trio (Trio 4) ASIC, delivers 400 Gbps of throughput and supports MACsec at 1 and 10 Gbps.
The card runs in the MX240, MX480 and MX960, and in the MX2000 with an adapter card. The chassis needs an SCBE2 or SCBE3, high-capacity power supplies and fan trays, and enhanced-ip mode enabled. Plan these items before the card arrives so it comes up on first install.
