Sixty QSFP28 ports in 2U give the Juniper PTX10002-60C its core-router role. Each port runs at 100GbE, 40GbE or 4 x 10GbE, and with breakout the router reaches up to 192 x 10GbE. Throughput is 6000 Gbps and forwarding is rated at 4 Bpps.

A 2.5 GHz quad-core Intel processor handles control, with 32 GB of memory and 2 x 64 GB SSDs. Power is supplied by 4 x 1600 W AC units (JPSU-1600W-AC-AFO), with DC as an alternative, all hot-swappable. Three PTX10002-FAN-S hot-swappable fan modules cool front-to-back.
