Overview
For MX2010 and MX2020 chassis moving to 400GbE, the Juniper MX2K-MPC11E provides 40 multi-rate QSFP56-DD ports. Each port runs 10GbE, 25GbE, 40GbE, 100GbE or 400GbE, and the card delivers 4000 Gbps of throughput. It is MACsec-ready at port speeds up to 100 Gbps.
This is a heavy, high-power card: 1980 W and 16.4 kg. It needs the MX2000-SFB3 switch fabric board and one of these Routing Engines: RE-MX2000-1800X4, REMX2K-1800-32G, REMX2K-X8-64G or REMX2K-X8-128G. Software must be Junos OS 19.3R2, or 20.1R1 and later; 19.4 is not supported. The maximum MTU is 16000 bytes, and the CLI name is MPC11E 3D MRATE-40xQSFPP.
