Overview

HPE N7P36A adds a tape drive to an HPE StoreEver MSL library. It is a library drive upgrade kit holding an LTO-7 Ultrium 15000 drive with a Fibre Channel interface.

Use it to add drive capacity to an MSL library or to replace a failed drive. The same spare drive is also used in MSL2024 and MSL4048 bundles.

Because it connects over Fibre Channel, the library needs a path to your FC SAN or an FC host adapter in the backup server. Check that before ordering if you are moving from a SAS-attached setup.

The spare number is 834167-001. If you are replacing a drive, that number on the old unit confirms the match.
