Overview
HPE 738239-001 is the system board for the ProLiant BL460c Gen8 server blade and the WS460c Gen8 workstation blade. It supports Intel Xeon E5-2600 and E5-2600 v2 processors, so it works with either processor family used in these blades.
The board comes with a sub-pan, an alcohol pad and a thermal grease syringe. The pad and grease are there for refitting the processor heatsinks after you move the CPUs across from the old board.
This is a repair part for keeping existing Gen8 blade enclosures running. It is a common need for sites that still run Gen8 blades in production or keep them as spare capacity.
