Overview

The Dell PowerSwitch N2224X-ON (MPN N2224X-ON) is the unpowered multigigabit option. Its 24 downlink ports run at 10M, 100M, 1G or 2.5G over RJ45, and four 25G SFP28 ports provide uplinks, so the unit has 28 ports and a top speed of 25GbE.

With no PoE, this is a fit for servers, workstations and access layers where endpoints are powered separately. A 550W AC supply is included. The switch is a Layer 3 device in a 1U chassis. At the back, 2 x 40G QSFP+ stacking ports let you join up to 12 switches.

Choose it when you need faster-than-gigabit copper at the edge and a 25G path upward, but no PoE budget.
