Overview

The Dell PowerSwitch N1124T-ON 24-Port Gigabit Switch with 4 x SFP/SFP+ Uplinks, part number N1124T-ON, is a straightforward access switch for small offices and closets that need gigabit connections and fast uplinks.

The 24 downlink ports run at 10/100/1000. Four SFP/SFP+ uplinks accept 1G or 10G modules, which gives a total of 28 ports, and 10GbE is the maximum port speed. Switching capacity is 128 Gbps. The switch does not supply PoE, so phones and access points need separate power.

It operates at Layer 2 and takes 1 RU. Layer 2 means it switches traffic within VLANs and leaves routing to another device. SFP and SFP+ modules for the uplinks are separate parts.
