Overview

The Juniper EX4400 48-Port Gigabit PoE++ Switch with Optional Uplink Module, part number EX4400-48XP, has a 3600 W PoE budget. It is meant for closets where many endpoints need substantial power.

There are 48 downlink ports at 10/100/1000BASE-T, each with PoE++ at up to 90 W. The power comes from a 2000W AC default power supply. An optional uplink module provides uplinks, and two dedicated 100GbE Virtual Chassis ports join switches together. The listed maximum port speed is 100GbE.

The switch works at Layer 3 and takes 1 RU. Because the ports are gigabit, it fits sites that need power more than speed on the access side.
