Overview

The Juniper EX4400 48-Port Gigabit Modular-Uplink Switch, Back-to-Front Airflow, part number EX4400-48T-AFI, is chosen when your rack pulls cold air from the rear of the equipment.

It has 48 downlink ports at 10/100/1000BASE-T and no PoE. Uplinks come from an optional uplink module. Two dedicated 100GbE Virtual Chassis ports join multiple switches into one logical unit, and 100GbE is the maximum port speed listed. The default power supply is the 550W AC AFI, which is the airflow-matched unit.

Airflow has to match the rest of the rack, or the switch can run hot, so check this before ordering. The switch works at Layer 3 and takes 1 RU.
