Overview

Hardened and fanless, the Juniper EX4100-H-12MP is made for places a standard closet switch would not survive well: outdoor enclosures, factory floors and other sites without controlled cooling. It cools by convection and is rated for 4.4 to 60 C.

All 12 downlinks carry PoE++ (802.3bt) at up to 90 W per port, with a total PoE budget of 360 W. Four ports run at 100M/1/2.5 Gbps with MACsec, and eight run at 10M/100M/1 Gbps. Uplinks are 2 x 1/10 Gbps SFP+ with MACsec, plus 2 x 1/10 Gbps SFP+ ports for Virtual Chassis. Up to 10 members can be joined in one Virtual Chassis, and switching capacity is 116 Gbps.

Power comes from an external 340 W AC supply (JPSU-H-340W-E-AC) or a DC PSU, with dual inputs. Inside are a 1.7 GHz ARM processor and 4 GB of memory, running Junos OS 24.3R1 or later. The unit weighs 2.37 kg and measures 15.24 x 13.40 x 11.17 cm (H x D x W).
