Overview

The Juniper EX2300 48-Port PoE+ Switch with 6 x 10G SFP+ Uplinks (MP Model), part number EX2300-48MP, is a high-density powered access switch. It gives a large closet 48 PoE-capable ports and six fast uplinks.

The downlink ports are Gigabit Ethernet with PoE/PoE+, and the PoE budget is 740 W for the unit. Six 10G SFP+ uplinks bring the total to 54 ports, and 10GbE is the maximum port speed. With that many ports, the 740 W figure is what limits how many high-draw devices can run together.

The switch works at Layer 3 and supports Virtual Chassis with up to 4 members. SFP+ optics and cables are bought separately.
