The e in eSR stands for extended, and the HPE Aruba Networking JL485A is the longer-reach 25G multimode module in Aruba's range. It has an SFP28 form factor, an LC connector and a 400 m reach over multimode fiber.
The extra distance is useful in larger buildings, where server rooms and distribution closets are further apart than a standard short-reach module can span. It carries one port at 25GbE.
