Dell PERC H730P Mini Mono 2GB 12Gb/s SAS RAID Controller (7H4CN)

Mini Mono controllers fit a dedicated storage slot on the PowerEdge motherboard, and the Dell 7H4CN is the PERC H730P in that form. It handles 12Gb/s SAS and SATA drives and carries 2GB of cache.

Because it uses the mini monolithic slot, the controller does not take up one of the server's PCIe slots. That keeps the slots open for network or accelerator cards.

The H730P is a common replacement part. If a controller fails, fitting the same model makes it easier to import the existing arrays. Note your virtual disk layout before swapping.
