Despite sitting in our Ethernet adapters group, the Broadcom Emulex LPe35002 is a Fibre Channel host bus adapter. It has two ports, each at 32Gb FC, on a PCIe form.

A Fibre Channel HBA links a server to a SAN fabric, so the choice of this card follows your storage network, not your Ethernet one. Two ports allow connections to two fabrics or switches for redundancy, a common design for production servers.
