Overview

Two Fibre Channel ports at 32Gb FC on one PCIe card: the ThinkSystem Emulex LPe35002 (MPN 4XC7A08251) links a server to a SAN. The controller is the Emulex LPe35002 and the feature code is B5SY.

Listed compatible systems: Lenovo ThinkSystem SD530, SR850, SR860, SR950, SR650, SR635, SR655 and SR850P. Two ports allow a server to connect to two fabrics or switches, so a single cable or switch failure does not cut off storage. Multipath software on the host then handles the paths.

The card is a Fibre Channel adapter rather than an Ethernet one, so it needs Fibre Channel switches and optics at 32G or compatible speeds.
