Toshiba MG11 24TB 7.2K SATA 6G LFF SED Hard Drive

Take the 24TB MG11 SATA drive and add SED encryption, and you have the Toshiba MG11 24TB 7.2K SATA 6G LFF SED Hard Drive (MG11ACP24TE). The 1024 MB cache, the 7200 rpm spindle, the SATA interface at 6 Gbps and the 3.5in LFF body are all as on the non-encrypting version, with 512e sectors.

SED is the label in the encryption field. Like other self-encrypting drives, it needs a controller or software layer that supports the feature before the encryption does any good.

The pairing of maximum capacity and encryption support suits security-conscious archive and backup systems. If your data protection policy asks for encrypted drives in every bay, using this model throughout keeps the pool consistent.
