Overview

Boot drive failure is a common cause of server downtime. The Lenovo ThinkSystem M.2 with Mirroring Enablement Kit, 7Y37A01093, addresses it by holding two M.2 SATA drives on one adapter and mirroring them, so the server keeps booting if one drive fails.

The kit contains the Dual M.2 Boot Adapter, built on a Marvell 88SE9230 controller with a PCIe 2.0 x2 host interface. Drives connect at 6Gbps SATA. It accepts 2 M.2 drives in 2242, 2260 or 2280 lengths. RAID 1 is the default, with RAID 0 and JBOD also available. Self-encrypting drive support is not offered. The Lenovo feature code is AUMV.

Compatible systems are ThinkSystem SR530, SR550, SR570, SR590, SR630, SR650, SR670, ST550, SR850, SR850P, SR860, SR950, SD530, SD650, SN550 and SN850.

The kit is sold Refurbished with 1 year or 3 years of warranty, or Used with 90 days. M.2 drives are not part of the kit, so add them to your request if needed.
