The P12948-001 is a spare array controller module for HPE MSA storage with 16Gb Fibre Channel host ports. It fits MSA 1060 16Gb FC, MSA 2060 16Gb FC and MSA 2062 16Gb FC systems, in both LFF and SFF versions.
The controller module handles host connections and drive management for the array. Many MSA systems run with two controllers, so a replacement lets you restore redundancy after a failure. Check that your array uses Fibre Channel host ports, since this module is the 16Gb FC type.
