HPE K2Q86B is a Fibre Channel SAN switch module in the Synergy family, built on Brocade. Its maximum port speed is 16Gb FC.
Twelve internal ports run at 16Gb FC and connect toward the compute modules inside the frame. External connectivity is up to 8 SFP+ ports plus 4 QSFP ports, which link the frame to your storage fabric.
The module is used to give Synergy compute modules access to a Fibre Channel SAN. Check that the SFP+ and QSFP optics or cables you plan to use match your fabric before you order.
