Overview

The HPE Aruba Networking 2540 48-Port 1GbE and 4-Port SFP+ Switch, MPN JL355A, is a 52-port switch in the Aruba 2540 line. It provides 48 10/100/1000 RJ45 ports and 4 SFP+ uplinks that run at 1G or 10G, with a top port speed of 10GbE.

This is the full-density option for a wiring closet with many wired endpoints. The 4 SFP+ ports carry traffic upstream, and you choose 1G or 10G optics or cables to match what is on the other end. It has no PoE listed, so powered devices need another source.
