HPE 128GB 8Rx4 DDR4-2666 3DS Load Reduced SmartMemory Kit

At 128GB, the HPE 815102-B21 is one of the larger modules from the DDR4-2666 generation. It combines 3DS stacking with a load-reduced design, an 8Rx4 layout, ECC and a CAS latency of 22.

Stacked chips let one module carry far more memory than a standard design. Eight ranks is a lot, so the server's rank limits per channel come into play, and the platform's memory guide tells you how many modules it will accept.

This kit targets servers where RAM capacity is the bottleneck: in-memory databases, big virtual machine hosts and analytics. It also replaces a failed module of the same type in a server already built around load-reduced 3DS memory.

Do not mix it with registered modules unless HPE's documentation for your model says that is allowed.
