Overview

Dell EMC PowerSwitch S4048T-ON is a 1U top-of-rack switch for copper 10GbE racks. It has 48 RJ45 ports that run at 100M, 1G or 10GBASE-T, plus 6 x 40GbE QSFP+ uplinks. Each uplink can break out into 4 x 10GbE, giving 54 ports before breakout.

It is a Layer 3 switch with 1440 Gbps of switching capacity, a forwarding rate of 1080 Mpps and a 16MB packet buffer. Up to 6 units can be stacked, including mixed stacks with the S4048-ON.

Power comes from 2 hot-swappable redundant AC supplies, 100-240V. Typical draw is 338W and the maximum is 460W. Airflow runs I/O panel to PSU or PSU to I/O panel, so it can match hot and cold aisle layouts. Supported software is Dell EMC Networking OS9, SmartFabric OS10 and ONIE.

The chassis measures 4.35 x 43.4 x 46 cm and weighs 10.43 kg. It is available New, Refurbished or Used: 1 year or 3 years of warranty for New and Refurbished, 90 days for Used.
