Dell Broadcom 5720 1GbE 4-Port RJ45 rNDC Network Daughter Card

For servers that only need Gigabit networking, the Dell FM487 supplies four 1GbE ports on RJ45 copper. It is a rack network daughter card (rNDC), so it fits the dedicated daughter card position on the server board and does not take up a PCIe slot.

The Broadcom BCM5720 controller runs all four ports. Copper RJ45 connectors mean standard patch cables to any Gigabit switch, with no optics to buy. Four ports give room to separate management, backup and production traffic, or to team ports for redundancy.

A second number, 0FM487, is the padded form of the same Dell part.
