Dell NVIDIA ConnectX-6 VPI Single-Port QSFP56 Adapter, Low Profile

VPI stands for virtual protocol interconnect: the Dell CY7GD can run its port as InfiniBand or as Ethernet. That makes it a fit for HPC clusters on InfiniBand fabrics, and for hosts that may later move to an Ethernet network.

The card has one QSFP56 port and an NVIDIA Mellanox ConnectX-6 controller, model CX653105A. It connects to the server through PCIe 4.0 x16 and comes in a low-profile PCIe form, so it fits half-height slots.

There are two alternative numbers. 0CY7GD is the padded Dell number, and CX653105A is the NVIDIA OEM model number for the same adapter. Either can be used to find it.
