Dell 540-BDHT is the plain gigabit option: a Broadcom 5720 controller with 2 RJ45 (BASE-T) ports at 1GbE, on a full-height PCIe card. It is the card you reach for when a server needs extra management, backup or storage-network links over ordinary copper cabling.
