The Cisco Catalyst 3560-CX Compact 12-Port PoE+ Switch, IP Base, MPN WS-C3560CX-12PD-S, is a fanless Layer 3 switch with 10G uplinks. The 12 x 10/100/1000 downlinks all supply PoE+ from a 240 W budget.
The difference in this version is the uplink set: 2 x 1G copper plus 2 x 10G SFP+. The 10G ports raise the maximum port speed to 10GbE and give enough bandwidth to the core for a group of access points or workstations that would crowd a 1G uplink.
IP Base is a Layer 3 feature set, so the switch can route locally as well as switch. The chassis is compact and fanless, which suits places without a proper closet.
