The Cisco Industrial Ethernet 3000 4-Port 10/100 Industrial Switch with 2 Gigabit Dual-Purpose Uplinks, LAN Base, MPN IE-3000-4TC, is a compact Layer 2 switch for industrial and edge networks.
It offers 4 x 10/100 downlink ports for devices such as controllers and sensors, and 2 dual-purpose uplinks that run at 10/100/1000 over copper or take an SFP, so you can choose copper or fiber for the connection back to your core. The maximum port speed is 1GbE.
There is no PoE on this model, so powered devices need their own supply. The LAN Base feature set covers Layer 2 switching. If you need Layer 3, look at the IP Services variant instead.
As port counts grow, the switch accepts up to 2 IEM-3000 expansion modules.
