Overview
The Cisco Catalyst 9400 48-Port 10G SFP+ Line Card, part number C9400-LC-48XS, is a high-density SFP+ card. It puts 48 10G cages in one slot of a Catalyst 9400 chassis.
Every port is SFP+ at 10G, and 10GbE is the maximum port speed. That makes it a fit for server-facing or aggregation roles where many fiber or direct-attach links land on one chassis. The pluggable cages let you pick the optics for each run. There is no PoE.
The card is a Layer 3 module. It is a separate part from the chassis and supervisor, so check that all three suit each other before you order.
