The Cisco Catalyst 9400 48-Port 10/100/1000 RJ-45 Line Card, part number C9400-LC-48T, adds 48 copper gigabit ports to a Catalyst 9400 chassis. It is the plain data option in the line card range.
Every port runs at 10/100/1000 on RJ-45, and 1GbE is the maximum port speed. The card does not supply PoE, so it fits ports that connect workstations, printers, servers and other devices that have their own power. If your endpoints need power over Ethernet, look at the PoE+ and UPOE line cards instead.
The card is a Layer 3 module for the modular chassis. It plugs into a slot alongside a supervisor, so confirm that your chassis and supervisor generation support it.
