Cisco Catalyst 9400 12-Port 40G QSFP+ / 4-Port 100G QSFP28 Line Card

One card, two port layouts: the Cisco Catalyst 9400 C9400-LC-12QC runs either as 12 x 40G QSFP+ or as 4 x 100G QSFP28 plus 4 x 40G QSFP+. The top port speed is 100GbE, and the card lists 12 ports in total.

That flexibility lets you start with 40G links and move some of them to 100G later, without changing the card. It is meant for a high-speed uplink or aggregation role in a Catalyst 9400 chassis, where Gigabit-class cards run out of headroom.
