Overview
The Arista OSFP-400G-SRBD brings the BiDi style of 400G multimode optic to OSFP ports. Its title reads 400GBASE-BIDI (SR4.2), it runs over OM4 multimode and its specified reach is 100 m.
BiDi links send traffic in both directions on shared fibers, so both ends should be BiDi modules of the same type. Check the cage type too: this module fits OSFP ports only, not QSFP-DD. Send us your cabling grade if you are unsure.
Where an existing multimode plant is being upgraded, BiDi can avoid new cabling, but confirm the grade of fiber you have against the 100 m reach. The module is available in all three conditions. New and refurbished units carry 1 year or 3 years of warranty, and used units carry 90 days.
