Overview
For OSFP ports a few racks apart, the Arista AOC-O-O-400G-7M offers 7 m of 400GbE active optical cable. Connectors are OSFP on both ends, and the medium listed is multimode fiber.
Seven meters leaves a comfortable margin on routes that would be tight at a shorter length. Since the cable is a fixed assembly, measure along the actual path through cable managers and risers, not in a straight line, and allow for gentle bends at the connectors.
As the optics are built in, the cable replaces a pair of transceivers and a fiber jumper. It is only for devices with OSFP cages. This OSFP version is offered new or refurbished, each with a choice of 1 year or 3 years of warranty.
