Overview
Twelve hot-swap 3.5in bays in 2U make the Supermicro SuperServer SYS-621C-TN12R a storage-leaning member of the CloudDC family. The bays also support a 2.5in option.
It has two sockets for Intel Xeon Scalable, 4th and 5th generation, and 16 DDR5 slots with a ceiling of 4096 GB. As with the other servers in this line, data networking comes from AIOM (OCP 3.0) cards, and one 1GbE port is dedicated to the BMC.
Two redundant 1200W Titanium power supplies are listed.
High drive counts with two processors fit object storage, backup servers and mixed compute-and-storage roles. The SYS-621C-TN12R is a base configuration, available new or refurbished. Each condition carries a warranty of 1 year or 3 years. We do not list a used option.
