Overview

Self-encrypting SAS storage at 20TB is what the ST20000NM003D provides. The Seagate Exos X20 20TB 7.2K SAS 12G LFF SED Hard Drive carries the SED label in its title; for details of the encryption, refer to the manufacturer's documentation, since the specification does not list them.

It spins at 7200 rpm over 12G SAS, uses a 512e sector format and fits 3.5in LFF bays. This is the choice for SAS-based storage systems where a security policy calls for the SED version of the drive. Backup repositories, archives and large object stores are the natural fits for a drive of this capacity.

The drive is offered new or refurbished, with a warranty of 1 year or 3 years on each. No used offer is listed. State the quantity and system model, and we will respond with a price.
