Seagate Exos X24 20TB 7.2K SATA 6G LFF SED Hard Drive

Self-encrypting and 20TB: the Seagate Exos X24 20TB 7.2K SATA 6G LFF SED Hard Drive (ST20000NM001H) is listed with SED in its encryption field. That separates it from the same-capacity X24 drive with ISE.

It spins at 7200 rpm and uses SATA at 6 Gbps in a 3.5in LFF body. Cache is 512 MB and the sector format is 512e.

Teams that need encrypted-at-rest storage on high-capacity SATA often choose SED models, because the encryption happens in the drive and spares the host from the processing. Whether the feature is turned on is a matter of controller support and key management.

For mixed-vendor or mixed-model arrays, match this MPN exactly if you want identical behavior across the set; swapping in a non-SED drive changes the security posture of the pool.

No alternative part numbers are listed.

Offers are for new and refurbished drives. Each has a warranty of 1 year or 3 years.
