NetApp X6568-R6 turns an SFP port into a 1GbE copper connection with an RJ45 jack. It lets you run standard copper network cable to an SFP port instead of fiber.

Copper SFPs are handy for management networks, short runs to a nearby switch and sites where copper cabling is already in place. Using a NetApp-branded transceiver avoids problems with ports that only accept approved optics. If you are replacing a module that failed, match the part number on the old one.
