Overview

At 12TB per drive, the NetApp E-X4132A is a capacity drive for the E-Series DE460C shelf. It is an NL-SAS disk spinning at 7200 RPM with a 12G interface.

The DE460C is built for high drive counts, so a full shelf of 12TB drives gives a large raw pool for backup, archive, media and analytics data. NL-SAS keeps the SAS connection that E-Series controllers use while delivering the capacity of a nearline drive.
