The 7600 PRO moves Micron's data center NVMe line to PCIe Gen5. This model holds 15.36TB in a U.2 2.5in drive and connects over a Gen5 x4 link.
U.2 is the established 2.5in NVMe format, so the drive suits servers and storage nodes with U.2 bays. To run at Gen5 link speed, the host platform and backplane must also support PCIe Gen5; check your system before you order.
A single 15.36TB bay is useful where rack space is limited and capacity per drive counts: scale-out storage, analytics clusters and large virtualization hosts.
