The 960GB 7450 PRO packs NVMe storage into the M.2 2280 slot found on many server boards and boot adapters. It uses PCIe Gen4 x4 and 176-layer 3D TLC flash.
Micron's rated performance is 5000 MB/s sequential read, 1400 MB/s sequential write and 520000 random read IOPS. It is a read-intensive drive at 1 DWPD, rated for 1700 TB written, with an MTBF of 2000000 hours.
With close to a terabyte of space, it leaves room for an operating system plus local logs, containers or a small cache. Sectors can be set to 512 or 4096 bytes. This version is non-SED and does not self-encrypt.
