The 960GB Micron 5400 MAX is a mixed-use SATA drive, meant for servers that write as often as they read. The MTFDDAK960TGB-1BC1ZABYY uses 176-layer 3D TLC NAND and fits standard 2.5-inch bays at a 7mm height.
Sequential read and write are both rated at 540 MB/s. Random read reaches 95,000 IOPS and random write 65,000 IOPS. The drive connects over SATA 6Gb/s, supports hot plug, uses 512-byte sectors and is rated for 3,000,000 hours MTBF. It has no self-encryption (non-SED).
