Overview

Fibre Channel storage access for Lenovo compute nodes: the ThinkSystem QLogic QML2692 Mezz (MPN 7ZT7A00520) has two ports at 16Gb FC on a mezzanine card, with the QLogic QML2692 controller. The feature code is AVCV.

Listed compatible systems: ThinkSystem SN550, SN850 and SN550 V2. As a mezzanine adapter it plugs into the node and reaches the SAN through Fibre Channel modules in the chassis, so the chassis side must support that.

Two ports let a node attach to two fabric paths, which is the usual design for servers that need continuous storage access. Multipath software on the host manages the paths.

This is a Fibre Channel HBA even though it is grouped with network adapters, and it does not carry Ethernet traffic.
